The Buzz: We caught The Maze Runner after its theatrical run and enjoyed it more than most of its contemporaries; in fact, we are wondering if the story lines might engage us even more than The Hunger Games has as the sequels and potential prequels -- James Dashner has authored two prequels already -- are released. Knowing that there are crazier traps and new creatures to come in the Scorch, and that the third and final installment, The Death Cure, might be set several years after the back-to-back narrative of its predecessors, we're just plain excited for a franchise that feels it's okay to free itself from its source material -- and knows better than to milk fans with a two part finale.
Storyline
In this next chapter of the epic "Maze Runner" saga, Thomas (Dylan O'Brien) and his fellow Gladers face their greatest challenge yet: searching for clues about the mysterious and powerful organization known as WCKD. Their journey takes them to the Scorch, a desolate landscape filled with unimaginable obstacles. Teaming up with resistance fighters, the Gladers take on WCKD's vastly superior forces and uncover its shocking plans for them all.Trailer
