The Buzz: Denis Villeneuve has associated himself with seriously god scripts since he broke through with his own story, the Oscar nominated Incendies. This story, which treads familiar terrain along the U.S./Mexico border, comes from Taylor Sheridan, perhaps best known as Deputy Hale on "Sons of Anarchy," whose other current screenplay is being made by director David Mackenzie. The story and its direction have been described as the best depiction of the inter-country drug trade, and we haven't even begun to talk about the appeal of this cast.
